Architecture

With talent and creativity woven with the practicality of our construction background, Jackola's architectural studio develops projects with creative use of form and materials to meet owners project goals and requirements with spaces that are desirable. We do this while realizing that the economic requirements of projects require maintaining budgetary control throughout the design process. Assessments

When you are buying property, a building (or both), it's a significant investment. Jackola can assist by lending our expertise and performing multi-discipline site observations and compiling our findings into a property condition report. We have provided this service on raw land and existing buildings and can tailor the report for specific needs. Whether its a new purchase or an existing building in your inventory, the property condition report can be expanded to a capital needs assessment and prioritization with associated costs. This allows you to determine project feasibility, perform economic analysis for the project and master plan improvements to existing sites. In some cases, cost segregation analysis can be performed to categorize expenses into differing classes that make sure you are taking advantage of maximum accelerated depreciation.

Civil Engineering

Every project starts with a site. Integrated site and building design helps client's best realize their vision and goals for a project. Working with architects to position the building for views, natural lighting, design goals and jurisdictional constraints, our civil group will design necessary grading, drainage, structures, utilities, landscaping and surfacing in support of the vision.

Jackola's civil engineering team, along with the surveying group, can service your large scale land development needs as well. From the initial land plan, we can work with the local jurisdiction to annex, change zoning, subdivide and plat necessary lots for the development. In support of this development, the civil team has experience in designing roads, grading, paths, dry and wet utility extensions, landscaping, lighting, feature elements, and other items necessary in support of the development vision.

Commissioning CxA

Integrated, coordinated, and well thought out design is one thing. It's another for that to translate through the process of bidding, substitution requests, value engineering proposals, submittals, installation and construction, system start up and final use. The process has many opportunities for a system to fall short of the original owner intent and requirements. By employing a building commissioning process, there is a dedicated focus on managing the performance of the building envelope and systems from assuring owners project requirements and goals are clear all the way through start up and implementations of control systems for optimum efficiency. Whether for our own projects or as a third party, our commissioning process pays for itself through goal satisfaction, proper system integration and lower energy costs.

Whether it's finish selection of paints, colors, materials, flooring, or expanded services with furniture and fixture selection and procurement, our interiors staff love what they do and it shows.

In addition, we have extensive experience in radiant and hydronic systems, various air systems, VRF, pumping systems, solar hot water, heat recovery hydronic and ventilation systems, as well as the building plumbing systems for waste, vent, domestic cold and hot water systems, condensate, gas and other piping systems necessary.

Surveying Services

Jackola has broad land surveying experience in support of building and development projects. These include site preconstruction surveys that identify property boundaries, site features, topography, utilities, easements and encumbrances, and other items that will affect site design. Once the site is designed, our surveyors can seamlessly provide construction staking of the improvements so that site improvements are placed and graded properly.

Jackola's surveying team can also provide American Land Title Association (ALTA) ACSM surveys for properties as necessary for title transfer and conveyance. Property retracements, zoning, annexation, and subdivision of land services are additional areas of expertise our surveying team can provide. Specialty surveys of interior structural systems for building additions and forensics, FEMA Flood Plain determinations, map amendments, and elevation certificates are some unique services our team can provide.
